| Rich and Paullette Allsmiller were close friends of Tom Scherman and Harper Goff. Upon Tom's passing, Rich became the world authority on all things related to the Nautilus and film. He wears that badge well. Now retired, Rich spends his days working on an exact replica of the eleven foot miniature Nautilus used in the film, and maintaining his website, Vulcania Submarine Works. This is no small task as I can attest to. Armed with silicon, a camera, a scale, an annual pass to EPCOT in Florida, and no scruples, Rich has amassed an amazing volume of reference material to this end.
